Personal Care in Carlisle — Dignified Daily Support at Home
Personal care is the most intimate form of home care — which is why dignity, consistency, and trust are at the heart of everything we do. Our trained carers provide gentle, respectful support with daily personal routines so you can feel your best every single day.

Is This Right for You?
Who Our Personal Care Service Supports
Personal care support is appropriate for a wide range of circumstances. If daily personal routines have become difficult, help is available — and it can make an enormous difference to wellbeing and confidence.
Older Adults
Older people who find daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, or grooming physically challenging — but wish to remain at home and maintain their independence and routines.
Recovering From Illness or Surgery
Individuals discharged from hospital or recovering at home who need short-term or longer-term personal care support until they regain independence.
Physical Disability or Reduced Mobility
Those living with a physical disability, reduced mobility, or a condition affecting strength or coordination who need reliable, consistent daily support.
Progressive Health Conditions
People living with conditions such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or stroke effects — where personal care needs evolve gradually over time.
Routine Support
Morning and Evening Personal Care Visits
Most personal care visits take place in the morning or evening — or both. We plan visit times around your natural routine, not around our schedule.

How We Work
Dignity Is Not a Policy — It Is How We Work
Personal care is built entirely on trust — and trust is built through consistency, respect, and genuine care. Here is what that means in practice at Carlisle Care.
Your Preferences Lead
We begin every care relationship by learning your preferences — your routine, your order, your products, your comfort level. The care follows you, not a fixed procedure.
Privacy and Discretion
Personal care is carried out with the utmost discretion. Our carers are trained to protect privacy at every moment — knocking before entering, closing doors, and always seeking consent.
The Same Carer
We match carers carefully and keep teams consistent. For personal care especially, a familiar, trusted face makes an enormous difference to comfort and confidence.
Open Communication
If something does not feel right — a product, a time, an approach — we want to know. Our care coordinators are always available to adjust and improve.
“The difference in Dad since his care started has been remarkable. He is up, dressed, and ready for the day every morning — and he has his confidence back. The carer is always the same person and Dad genuinely looks forward to seeing her.”→ Read More Family Reviews
